Little Chilly Night of Racing - May 5th

The night was a little damp and chilly, but we were able to get some riders on the track. Due to the last minute weather call, and drastically different weather around the Lower Mainland, rider attendance was a little dow, but 83 riders and 11 half track die-hards came out to get themselves out there. Some just wanted to race, some wanted extra track time for this weekends National in Chilliwack.

Great to see we had some new riders out tonight in both Full track and half track, and several othersjoined the crowd to see if they wanted to join in the family fun next week.

Nice racing everyone!

Next week we have a few things going on.
May 11th we have Golden Ears Phsio coming out to discuss Concussion Awareness between 5:30 and 7pm.  They will also arrange for group testing dates. Most people with a benefits package will be able to deduct the test cost.

May 12th,  we host our First Track Attack race of the season. Get yoursleves prepared as riders from the other tracks come out to collect points to win the year end prizes and grab the leader plate. More information on Track Attack series can be found below.

Good luck to all our riders heading to the National in Chilliwack this weekend.

Sunny Way to End the first month - April 28th

Race Day was looking a little bleak at 2pm, but the sun came out, dried the track and we got to finish off our first month of Racing with some stellar motos. 109 Riders and 22 half trackers came out to shake off any cobwebs and put their recently learned skills to test. The girls classes are sure buiding up, and they are putting down some POWER!
Congratulations to Kai Levin and Campbell Parrish on their Move up to intermediate. Nicely done boys.

May 11th - Concussion Awareness and Testing

On May 11th Ridge Meadows BMX will be hosting a clinic by Golden Ears Physio Therapy for Information on Concussions and Helmet Safety addressed.
More information can be found at goldenearsphysio.com/services/concussion/.

Baseline testing sessions will be held on a few specific dates at one of Golden Ears clinics.
Baseline Testing Costs organized for the club will be set at
$60 (12 and under athletes)  regular $100
$70 (13 and over athletes)  regular $110
To get the reduced rate, we must attend on the key dates they specify, or organize ourselves in a minimum group of 5 at a time.
Unfortunately the mobile testing was not a possibility due to the loud nature of the outdoor track facility.

Baseline tests are billable under extended health benefits for those families that have Physiotherapy coverage.
The additional $10 fee for 13 and over though is not billable under Physiotherapy services and is a 'product fee' for the additional computer test.
